The Rolling Stones Curling Club began in 1965 in Montreal. Some of the original Montreal members eventually moved to London and Toronto around 1980, starting Rolling Stones chapters in each city. Each of the chapters are still in existence today.

A weekend bonspiel brings the three chapters together annually to compete for a coveted trophy. Three trophies are awarded in Toronto each year — one each for the winners of the league round robin championship, playoff winners, and the three-city chapters bonspiel. Which is of greater importance is always a spirited debate!

A prestigious “Triple Crown” label — winning all three in a year — is very elusive. To our recollection it has only happened once in our 50+ years of existence.

The Toronto Chapter originally played out of the Humber Highlands Curling Club until moving to the Dixie Curling Club in Mississauga, Ontario in 1990, where we still play today as a rental league.

We play 8-end games on Sunday mornings and have time afterwards to socialize with our fellow competitors. We play a balanced 16–20 week regular season and a 3-round playoff schedule.

Our loyal membership plus a steady flow of new members allows us to field an 8 to 11 team league. Skips draft new teams from the pool of members annually and the order of draft picks is based on the previous year's standings.

A longstanding tradition of relegating the last-place skip back into the players pool and promoting the vice skip of the league champion team helps keep things highly competitive. Nobody wants to be relegated!

While we are a competitive group, we are a recreational league that entertains all skill levels. We always encourage new members to come and try the sport.
